Change multi post description is one of the most useful fields designed in WordPress bulk post editing plugin<\/span><\/a> which enables the post manager of websites to bulk edit the post description simply and quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Append:<\/strong> Add some value to the end of post description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Prepend:<\/strong> Add some value to the beginning of post description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
New:<\/strong> Replace the whole text of description by new value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Delete: <\/strong>Delete some part of description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Filter custom posts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Before starting to change multi post description at the same time, it is necessary to filter those posts that need bulk edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we mentioned in previous tutorials, It is up to you in which way you want to select custom posts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this tutorial, we load one of the filter profiles that we have already saved in the plugin called \u201cphone posts<\/strong>\u201d by clicking on \u201cFilter Profiles<\/strong>\u201d in the main page, as you can see in the below picture:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add description columns<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\nAdding the columns that you are going to make changes to them, is a great way for tracing the results. So, we added \u201cDescription<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cShort Description<\/strong>\u201d columns to our post table by using Column profiles page<\/a><\/span> as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After clicking on \u201cApply to Table<\/strong>\u201d, all selected columns were displayed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, everything is ready for making some examples about the post description bulk edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Example 1: Add a new description <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Add a new description is possible by selecting \u201cNew<\/strong>\u201d from the condition box as you can see below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By choosing this option, all of the current text in the description of the filtered posts will be removed and replaced by the new value typed in the text box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the value of the text box, you can either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Type a text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select a variable from the combo box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
In this example, we entered a new text in the text box:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And after clicking on \u201cApply Changes<\/strong>\u201d, all of the post description replaced by this text:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 2: Append post description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
If you need to add some text to the end of post description, follow the below steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose \u201cAppend<\/strong>\u201d from condition box of Description in the \u201cGeneral<\/strong>\u201d tab of \u201cBulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d Form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Type any data in the text box, for example \u201c,\u201d as a delimiter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select a \u201cVariable<\/strong>\u201d from variable box such as \u201cTitle<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n $\"Append$ <\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Click on \u201cDo Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d to see the result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 3: Prepend post description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Prepend a new value means adding a value to the beginning of the description which could be done to change multi post description as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose \u201cPrepend<\/strong>\u201d from condition box of Description in the \u201cGeneral<\/strong>\u201d tab of \u201cBulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d Form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Type any data in the text box, for example \u201c,\u201d as a delimiter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select a \u201cVariable<\/strong>\u201d from variable box such as \u201cID<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n $\"Prepend$ <\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
The result of this action could be observed by clicking on \u201cDo Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example 4: Delete some value from post description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
By adding a variable in the text box such as \u201cTitle<\/strong>\u201d and choosing \u201cDelete<\/strong>\u201d from the condition box as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you click on \u201cDo Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d, that variable will be removed from the description:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Example 5: Replace some value in the description<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
To replace some values in the description, you have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n
Same Case(Case-insensitive)<\/strong>: It means the text or typed input that is sensitive to capitalization of letters, For example \u201cGeeks\u201d and \u201cGEEKS\u201d are not the same.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Ignore Case:<\/strong> It means the text or typed input that is not sensitive to capitalization of letters, like \u201cGeeks\u201d and \u201cGEEKS\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n $\"Replace$ <\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
For example, in this tutorial, we decided to replace \u201cID<\/strong>\u201d in the post description by \u201cA New Mobile Phone\u201d text. So we followed the below steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose \u201cReplace<\/strong>” from the first condition box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Select \u201cID<\/strong>\u201d from the variable box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Choose \u201cSame Case<\/strong>\u201d from the second condition box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Type \u201cA New Mobile Phone\u201d in the text box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
