There is no difference in how those taxonomies were assigned to your posts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the taxonomies added to WordPress either by built-in taxonomy functions or by related plugins such as ACF, are available in <a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/plugins\/wordpress-bulk-posts-editing\/?utm_source=docs&amp;utm_content=create-post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WPBULKiT &#8211; Bulk Edit WordPress Posts \/ Pages Plugin<\/a> to enable you to bulk edit them very easily and quickly.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To bulk edit WordPress posts&#8217; custom taxonomy, there are two simple steps that you need to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: filter some posts&nbsp;<\/strong>to bulk edit post custom taxonomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To filter some posts, you can use either \u201c<strong>Filter Form<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>Quick Search<\/strong>\u201d. For example, we filtered published post in the filter form as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open \u201c<strong>Filter Form<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to \u201c<strong>Date &amp; Type<\/strong>\u201d tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201c<strong>Published<\/strong>\u201d from the dropdown list of \u201c<strong>Post Status<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Get posts<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/filter-by-post-status-1.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1505\" height=\"832\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/filter-by-post-status-1.png\" alt=\"Filter posts by posts status in WordPress Bulk posts Editing Plugin\" class=\"wp-image-1672\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: bulk edit post custom taxonomy&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Using bulk edit form<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bulk edit form makes it easy for you to change or edit taxonomies of custom posts. To use bulk edit form, you need to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d button at the main page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to \u201c<strong>Categories\/ Tags \/ Taxonomies<\/strong>\u201d tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make any changes on the taxonomies you need according to the conditions that we have provided in our plugin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Do Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After filtering the custom posts, we opened the taxonomies tab in the \u201c<strong>Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d form to see all taxonomies already assigned to our posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As shown below, two fields are available in front of each taxonomy, which enable us to bulk edit them very easily, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Condition box<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In this field, you have to specify how this taxonomy is to be edited. The options available in the condition box include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Append:<\/strong> for attaching new taxonomies to the current ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete:<\/strong> for deleting some taxonomies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Replace:<\/strong> for replacing the current taxonomies by new ones.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection box<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In the selection box a list of all taxonomies related to that field will be displayed and you can choose as many items as you need to be edited according to the condition set in the condition box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/Selection-box.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1264\" height=\"430\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/Selection-box.jpg\" alt=\"Selection box in WordPress Bulk posts Editing Plugin\" class=\"wp-image-1673\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, we tried to delete \u201cFood&#8221; from the Category and append \u201cafternoon\u201d and \u201capple\u201d to our filtered posts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-food-categories.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1681\" height=\"801\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-food-categories.png\" alt=\"result food categories\" class=\"wp-image-1670\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-food-categories.png 1681w, https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-food-categories-1536x732.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1681px) 100vw, 1681px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>First, choose the desired posts and click on Bulk Edit and do as below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/03\/07-selection-box-example.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1360\" height=\"672\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/03\/07-selection-box-example.jpg\" alt=\"Selection box example\" class=\"wp-image-641\" style=\"width:1360px\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>By clicking on \u201c<strong>Do Bulk Edit<\/strong>\u201d, the changes were made as we expected:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-of-editing-by-bulk-edit-form.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1677\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-of-editing-by-bulk-edit-form.png\" alt=\"Result of editing post taxonomy by bulk edit form\" class=\"wp-image-1671\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-of-editing-by-bulk-edit-form.png 1677w, https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/result-of-editing-by-bulk-edit-form-1536x733.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1677px) 100vw, 1677px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Using bind edit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bind edit is another way provided in our plugin to bulk edit post taxonomies. To use this option, at first you need to add the taxonomy columns to the post table as we did by using \u201c<strong>Column Profiles<\/strong>\u201d form in the below picture:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/add-taxonomy-columns.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1517\" height=\"831\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/add-taxonomy-columns.png\" alt=\"Add taxonomy columns to WordPress Bulk posts Editing Plugin\" class=\"wp-image-1674\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After adding taxonomies to the post table, those posts that you need to bulk edit their taxonomies must be selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can first search the posts by using \u201c<strong>Quick Search<\/strong>\u201d fields or filter them by applying \u201c<strong>Filter Form<\/strong>\u201d conditions and then mark all of the custom posts by clicking on the checkbox next to ID.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also possible to select the post by marking the check box next to each one in the post table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you are ready to bulk edit taxonomies of those selected posts at the same time by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Bind Edit<\/strong>\u201d icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clicking on the \u201c<strong>Taxonomy<\/strong>\u201d columns of one of the posts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/edit-post-taxonomy-by-blind-edit.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1679\" height=\"797\" src=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/edit-post-taxonomy-by-blind-edit.png\" alt=\"Edit posts taxonomy by blind edit\" class=\"wp-image-1675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/edit-post-taxonomy-by-blind-edit.png 1679w, https:\/\/ithemelandco.com\/docs\/wordpress-bulk-post-editing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/04\/edit-post-taxonomy-by-blind-edit-1536x729.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1679px) 100vw, 1679px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add or remove any taxonomy you need by mark \/unmark the checkbox next to them in the list displaying in the new pop-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u201c<strong>Apply to table<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, we unmark \u201clifestyle\u201d from the list of categories of the first post.
