How to Track Order Sources Using the Attribution Report?

Understanding which marketing campaigns, social media platforms, or referral sources are actually generating orders is crucial for allocating your budget effectively. The REPORTiT – Advanced Reporting for WooCommerce plugin provides a powerful Attribution report that connects your revenue directly back to the source, allowing you to see exactly which channels deliver the best return on investment.

3. Narrow down the data by specific parameters, including:

  • Net payment: Filter orders’ source attribution based on the final amount settled after all fees and adjustments.
  • Country: Isolate orders’ source attribution for a specific country.
  • State: Analyze orders’ source attribution for a particular region or state.
  • City: Drill down orders’ source attribution for a specific city.
  • Status: Filter orders’ source attribution based on their current state (e.g., Processing, Completed).
  • Order Count: Filter orders’ source attribution based on the total number of transactions.
  • Refunded: Show only orders that have been fully or partially refunded.

Once configured, the report will present the data in three distinct sections for a complete analysis.

Section 1: The Performance Overview

This section provides a high-level summary of your key performance indicators across all attribution sources by displaying a set of cards reporting the core metrics for the selected period:

  • Order Count: The total number of orders attributed to all sources.
  • Paid: The total gross revenue from these orders.
  • Refunded: The total refunded amount.
  • Net Sales: The final retained revenue after refunds are deducted.

Section 2: The Attribution Trends Chart

This visual chart helps you identify trends and patterns in order volume from your various marketing channels over time.

The chart graphically displays any of the overview boxes above. For example, if you click on the Order Count metric, the chart shows the number of orders from your attributed sources fluctuated throughout the selected date range.

  • Order Count: Number of orders received from each channel.
  • Paid: Total paid for that channel.
  • Refunded: Total of the order amount that was refunded related to each channel.
  • Net Sales: Total amount of orders received from each channel.

How to customize the Attribution table report?

  • Manage Columns: Use the “Columns” button to show or hide specific data points in the table.
