How to Control Report Access by User (Permission Add-On)?

In multi-user WooCommerce environments, it’s crucial to maintain proper data access controls. The REPORTiT – Advanced Reporting for WooCommerce plugin with its Permission Add-On provides sophisticated user management capabilities, allowing you to precisely configure which reports and data sections each user can access.

Setting up custom access controls is a straightforward process that gives you complete authority over your reporting visibility:

  • Navigate to Settings > Permissions to access the user management dashboard.
Open permission setting
  • Choose the specific user from the dropdown list
Select user

The Permission Add-On provides detailed control over what each user can access within the Advanced Reports for WooCommerce plugin. Here’s how to configure these settings:

Dashboard & Report permissions

Navigate through the tabs at the bottom of the permissions screen to control access to the main reporting modules:

  • Dashboard Tab
  • Revenue Tab
  • Products Tab
  • Customers Tab
  • Financial Reports Tab
  • Other Tab
  • Settings Tab

When you click on any main tab (like Dashboard, Revenue or Settings), the system displays all available sub-sections within that module. Simply check the boxes next to the specific sections you want to grant access to for that user.

For example, when you click the Revenue tab, you’ll see sub-sections such as:

  • Revenue:  Filter, Char, table, Boxes
  • Orders:  Filter, Char, table, Boxes
  • And more

Similarly, clicking the Settings tab reveals configuration areas like:

  • General Settings
  • Invoice Settings
  • Permission Controls
  • Integration Settings

By selectively checking these boxes, you ensure users only see the reports and features relevant to their role, maintaining data security and interface clarity.

Click “Save Changes” to immediately implement the new permission settings. The user will now see only the reports and sections you’ve authorized for their account.
